OFW Finance (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

OFW Finance is a primarily read-only information site. We do not require you to create an account or submit personal information to use any calculator or guide. The data you enter into our calculators (e.g. daily rate, monthly salary) is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers.

We automatically collect non-personal usage data, including:

• Pages visited and time on page
• Approximate location (country / region) from your IP address
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• Referring source (search engine or website)

2. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our third-party providers use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Analytics: understanding aggregate site usage (e.g. Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics if enabled).
• Affiliate tracking: when you click an affiliate link, the partner service may set a cookie to attribute your referral. We never set affiliate cookies ourselves.
• Advertising: if and when we display ads via networks like Google AdSense, those networks may set cookies to show relevant ads.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Most of the site will continue to work without cookies, but analytics and ad personalization will not.

3. Affiliate disclosure

Some links on OFW Finance are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and complete a transaction (e.g. signing up for a remittance service), we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. These commissions help us keep the site free.

Affiliate links are clearly marked and never affect the order in which providers are presented or the figures we show. We choose providers based on actual service quality for OFWs and Filipino consumers.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may receive limited data about your visit:

• Vercel: our hosting platform, which processes page requests and may collect anonymized traffic metrics.
• Inter font (self-hosted): the Inter typeface is optimized at build time by Next.js and served directly from this site's own domain. No requests are made to Google Fonts when you visit OFW Finance.
• Affiliate partners: Wise, Remitly, Western Union, Agoda, Booking.com — only when you click their respective affiliate links.

5. Google AdSense (if enabled)

We may use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at NAI opt-out.

6. Data we do not collect

• We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers unless you voluntarily contact us via email.
• We do not store calculator inputs on our servers. All computations happen client-side in your browser.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Children's privacy

OFW Finance is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173), the GDPR (for EU visitors), and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we do not collect identifying personal data by default, this primarily applies to email correspondence. Email us via the contact page to exercise these rights.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on our homepage for at least 30 days.
