About OFW Finance

Our mission

OFW Finance exists to give Filipino employees, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and anyone working in or with the Philippines a clear, trustworthy answer to one question: what should I do, get paid, or know on this specific date?

We build straightforward tools — a real-time holiday checker, a DOLE-based pay calculator, a 13th month computation tool, and OFW guides per country — so the answer takes seconds, not hours of searching official PDFs and outdated forum posts.

What this site is not

• We are not the Philippine government. OFW Finance is independent. Our holiday data is sourced from official proclamations and DOLE advisories, but we are not affiliated with any government agency.
• We do not provide legal or payroll advice. All tools are informational. For payroll decisions, you should always confirm with your HR department, DOLE, or a qualified professional.
• We do not handle remittance transactions. When you click an affiliate link to Wise, Remitly, or Western Union, you are taken directly to their service. We may receive a commission for referrals (see our privacy policy).

• Pay rules: DOLE Labor Advisory No. 12-25; Labor Code of the Philippines (Presidential Decree No. 442, as amended).
• 13th month pay: Presidential Decree No. 851; DOLE Labor Advisory No. 18, s. 2021; TRAIN Law (RA 10963).
• OFW data: Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) remittance statistics; Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) deployment statistics.
• US federal holidays: 5 U.S.C. § 6103; US Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
• Australian holidays: Fair Work Ombudsman.

Editorial standards

We update our calendar within 24 hours of any new official proclamation or DOLE advisory. The site shows the date of the last update at the bottom of every page. If you spot an error or outdated information, please reach out via our contact page.
